Kites was one of the most interesting movies of 2010. However, what was even more interesting about the movie was its cast. Not only it portrayed actors from different nationalities and backgrounds, it actually delivered one of the most fruitful chemistries among an entire cast that hasn’t been seen in years.

Hrithik Roshan (Jay Ray)
Hrithik Roshan who plays Jay Ray in Kites is a wonderful Indian Actor especially known for his great roles in Bollywood films. His first appearances as an actor were in the 80s, as a child actor with 10 years. However, his real roles as an actor were after the 2000s, when he played his first big role in Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, a movie that gave him an award in Filmfare Awards as the Best Male Actor and Best Male Debut.
Then, in 2001 he appeared on the drama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham in 2001, a film that became one of the most grossing films from Bollywood and from which Roshan won a lot of appraisal and popularity.
After that, he appeared in various other movies from 2001 to 2003, until he started on Koi Mil Gaya and then its sequel Krrish, both movies that got him minor awards for best actor, which made him one of the best and one of the most appraised in Bollywood industry. However, it wasn’t until 2006 where Roshan could eventually win another Filmfare award for Best Actor, an award that made him internationally known and from which he won so much popularity that made him star in different movies around the world.
Then, in 2008 he won the critically acclaimed Golden Minbar International Film Festival award for Best Actor, an award that made him win some great opportunities in the industry, from which he could make it to this wonderful film, Kites in 2010, playing alongside Barbara Mori, and in which he got a lot of international appraisals.
Bárbara Mori (Natasha)
Bárbara Mori, on the other hand, is an Uruguayan actress who lived all of her life in Mexico, where she eventually learned the art of acting and become one of the most sought-after actresses of her country. However, she started as a model when she was 14. Marcos Toledo, a professional model manager, and designer invited her to work as an actress, from which she eventually managed to create a career in the entertainment industry by studying acting in El Centro de Estudio de Formación Actoral in Mexico.
Her first acting role was in a telenovela called “Al Norte del Corazón”, from which she could make her name be heard thanks to her great charisma and depth as an actress. From this moment on, she started to get many great roles in movies and eventually in big productions.
Her first movie was “Inspiración”, a Mexican movie she nailed her role as Arath De La Torre and from which she eventually won a lot of acclaimed criticism. Before and after that, she was in all sorts of telenovelas and low-budget films, until she eventually got a great role in the movie Kites, alongside Hrithik Roshan, maybe the best movie she has been part of.
Kangana Ranaut (Gina B. Grover)
Kangana Ranaut in an Indian actress who was born in Bhambla on March 20th of 1987, growing in a middle-class Indian urbanization called Dehra Dun alongside 3 siblings. Since she was a little girl, she demonstrated love for performances as a debater, announcer, and even a basketball player.
When she finished high school she decided to go to Science College in Simla, but then she decided that modeling and theater were more her kinds of career. She went to the Elite School of Modelling, then she went to make her tries as a theater actress but eventually end up in the world of movies, from which she is now known for.
However, she struggled as an actress until 2006, where she was found by the same director of Kites, Anurag Basu, who gave her a big role in his movie Gangster in 2006, from which she is now known. Even so, she has been in many other movies, including Dhaam Dhoom in 2008 and eventually Kites, from the same director Anurag Basu who found her drinking coffee back in 2006.
After Kites, she has been lucky enough to star in many other movies, pushing her career and life as an actress that has made her one of the better-known celebrities of her country.
Kabir Bedi (Bob Grover)
Kabir Bedi, who plays as Bob Grover in Kites, is a very famous Indian actor who has played in more than 60 movies from Bollywood and is known for being one of the most in-depth and widest-ranged actors of his country. His most known role is as the Emperor Shah Jahan in the internationally acclaimed and big success Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story.
Even though he’s mostly known for his works in Indian movies, he has also worked in many Hollywood and other movies from Europe, like Octopussy in the role of Gobinda, the villain. And in The Beast Of War, a movie about the Russian war in Afghanistan. In addition, he has many roles in many other movies in the west, like the Pirate he played in Sandokan, a very popular TV series and in the other, one of the most popular TV series in the world – The Bold and The Beautiful.
He’s actually the most seen actor in India, and one of the most known Indian actors in the world. He’s a very successful entrepreneur as well, making his steps be heard in the world of TV, Film, Modeling, Technology, and in the business of electronics.
Nowadays, after starring in Kites, he’s been traveling the world playing different roles in different movies. However, his most recent works include theater plays, where he has been touring throughout North America.
Steven Michael Quezada (Cop)
Steven is one of the greatest actors from Mexico. He is a veteran of the theater industry and one of the better-known actors in films. He studied Theather at the Eastern New Mexico University and since he graduated he’s been in dozens of movies from Mexico and Hollywood as well.
He has won Emmy awards for his role in Breaking Bad but has also starred in other TV series like Wildfire, Crash, In Plain sight and many other movies in Hollywood. However, what made him win more recognition was his role in Breaking Bad as Agent Steven Gomez that not only gave him his first big award in Hollywood but also many others like the Screen Actors Guild Award for an Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble.
But Steven is not only an actor, he’s actually a very successful comedian who even has a partner with other comedians to air a TV late-night show along with Marco Nuñez. He has appeared in many different locations in his tours and in different TV channels like HBO, Showtime, Que Locos and has been selected as a Saturday Night Live Alumnus.
Right now, Steven holds one of the most successful roles as an actor and comedian from Mexico, achieving much more than the average entertainment characters of his country.
