Well, it's Nice to be Noticed

For those of you won aren't so fond of my view of the world, I bring you two blogs that linked ResurrectionSong today that have very different views of the world.

First, for those of you who actually like Wesley Clark, the Independents for Clark nabbed one of my posts with their Clark Bot. An impressive round-up (albeit, automated) of Clark-related postings. Drifting further left...

Second, Pieter linked back to the entry which refers to him (and the Christians at the site and commenting on the site who are proudly anti-gay) arrogant and judgmental. I stand by those characterizations, and as much as he laments that no one managed to answer his "facts", he also doesn't address any of my questions. Then he whines that, in our desire for tolerance we have left no room for his views.

Not true. What I said was not that he had to believe the same things that I do, but simply that I think he is wrong and the more I hear from people like him in the church, the less likely I am to be a part of it. No, Pieter, you can have whatever view you like; and when you express it in a public forum, you will also be disagreed with publicly. That isn't intolerance, that's dialogue.

Further, it wasn't an ad hominem attack from me; you most certainly are arrogant and judgmental. And that wasn't even the meat of my posting on the subject. Unfortunately, at your site, we can't discuss the subject any further; the delicate little women who frequent your site, who must be protected from such things, might accidentally read something that would upset them.

Poor little things.

It's always seemed that the women who read this regularly are of a more hearty stock.
